Hawks Top Warren Wilson

Montgomery, Alabama – The Hawks increased their record to 5-4 overall as they flew past the Owls of Warren Wilson (1-6 overall) with a final score of 26-3.

Midfielder, Brennon Madonia, claimed 19 faceoffs in the first half to secure the ball for the Hawks offensively to boost them to a 16 goal half.

Six Hawks found goals in the first half and freshman; Gage Kettlewell tagged 5 first of their 16 goals. Starting goalkeeper, Peter Harmon allowed three goals for the Owls with six saves on nine shots.

Other first half scorers included Alexander Hero, Brady Moulton, and Kelcey Marston who each scored two for the Hawks to boost them to a 16-3 lead heading to halftime.

To start the third, Ian Bruggeman nailed a goal within a minute to continue the scoring streak for the Hawks. Caden Bacz and Kettlewell added two more goals of their own in the third (Kettlewell's seventh to tie his career high) and new goalie, Jesse "Blake" Thomas held the Owls scoreless.

In the fourth quarter, Anthony Piazza notched his career high goals with his third in the first 50 seconds (24-3). Moulton and Bruggeman added the Hawks final goals for the game as they flew past the Owls in their non-conference contest.
