Buena Vista, Virginia – The Hawks (5-5 overall, 1-1 USA South) fell to Southern Virginia (3-6 overall, 2-0 USA South) with a final score of 17-2.
For the Hawks, Ryan Campion scored the first goal for a 1-0 lead in the first minute and a half of the game. The Knights answered the goal from Hawks lone scorer by going on 8-0 run in the remaining of the first half (8-1).
After halftime, four more Knights goals edged the Hawks before Campion scored his second goal of the game and the Hawks final goal (12-2). In the fourth quarter, Southern Virginia was able to push for 5 more goals and hold of the Hawks in the USA South conference matchup.
