Hawks Fall to LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – Huntingdon (5-6 overall, 1-2 USA South) fell to in conference opponent LaGrange (6-5 overall, 2-1 USA South) with a final score of 17-7.

A low scoring first quarter for both teams left the game at 2-1 with the Panthers leading to go into the second. Hawks leading scorer, Ian Bruggeman held the only goal for his team in the first.

The Panthers had a strong four goal quarter in the second while Alexander Hero tagged a goal for the Hawks heading to halftime with a score of 6-2.

Again in the third quarter, LaGrange posted four more goals to the Hawks one goal from Tristian Dial. Starting goalie, EJ Umphries continued to fight in the goal for the Hawks but a strong fourth quarter for the Panthers lifted them to a 7-4 run to close out the game.

The final goals from the Hawks were scored by Kelcey Marston, Kole Andres, Ian Bruggeman (his second), and Gage Kettlewell.
