MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team scored four goals in the first half and came away with a 5-1 win over Tennessee Temple on Tuesday.

Freshmen Rhett Williams and Austin Savage combined for three goals and senior Stacy Terry added another to give Huntingdon a 4-0 lead in the first 33 minutes of the game.

"We played as well as we have in a few games," Huntingdon men's soccer coach Timmy McCormack said. "We did the little things right today and that helped us achieve our overall goals."

Savage, assisted by Brian Martin, scored the first goal in the first 15 minutes. Williams scored twice in a span of a little more than 10 minutes on assists from Martin and Brady McMillan. Terry scored the final goal of the first half on an assist from McMillan. McMillan scored on an assist by Savage early in the second half for the final goal of the game.

Huntingdon keepers Alex Brown and Matt Russell combined for five saves and one goal allowed.

Seunfunmi Ogunbunmi scored Tennessee Temple's goal in the first two minutes of the second half, on an assist by Jacob Fremmer.

Tennessee Temple (7-10) ended the game with 21 shots, including six shots on goal. Huntingdon ended with 20 shots, including 14 on goal.

The Hawks will host Covenant on Saturday at 3 p.m. for the final game of the season.

"Covenant is a big game to end the year," McCormack said. "They took it to us a few weeks ago at their place and they'll present a good challenge to end the season."
