Hawks Fall in Final Game at Centenary

CENTENARY, La. – The Hawks (1-3 overall) fell to the Gents of Centenary (2-1-1 overall) in their final game in Louisiana, 5-2.
Varian Carty struck first for the Hawks at the tenth minute mark to take an early lead on the Gents.
Centenary lucked up on a penalty kick at the 29th minute to tie the game.
The Hawks and starting goalie, Cody Hall fended off Centenary until the 41st minute when they scored their second goal to take the lead into halftime (2-1).
After the half the Hawks were unphased, Sy Garrett slung one by the Gents goalkeeper to tie the game at two and apply pressure to Centenary.
The Gents cranked it up a notch and scored three goals in twelve minutes to close out the game and defeat the Hawks.
