MSOC Loses Battle to Covenant

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon Men's Soccer (2-6 overall, 0-1 CCS) fell in their first Collegiate Conference of the South matchup to Covenant (4-3-3 overall, 1-0 CCS) 2-1.

The Hawks started off strong with a goal from sophomore Tate Reynolds in the 14th minute of the first half. The Scots got off 19 shots in the first half and starting goalkeeper, Braden Ross found himself with 10 saves and no goals heading to halftime up 1-0.

After the half, Covenant traded out goalies to try and hold off the Hawks. The Scots again got 19 shots off but this time they found two in the net scoring in the 48th and 50th minute of the game. Ross had five saves in the second half and offensively the Hawks had no shots on goal a total of 9 shots for the game compared to Covenant's 38.
