Huntingdon men’s tennis opens season with pair of wins
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team opened the season with a pair of road wins on Friday.
The Hawks opened the day with a 6-3 win over Virginia Wesleyan and closed the day with a 9-0 win over Greensboro College.
Senior Larry Pritchett (No. 4), junior Tyler Creamer (No. 3) and freshman Trey Pirtle (No. 5) earned singles wins in both matches. Sophomore Zac Baldwin (No. 1), freshman Bobby Foroughian (No. 2) and freshman Eric Busch (No. 6) picked up singles wins against Greensboro and sophomore Tyler Chaffee won at No. 6 singles against Virginia Wesleyan.
The doubles teams of Creamer-Pritchett (No. 2) and Pirtle-Chaffee (No. 3) won two matches on Friday and the team of Foroughian-Baldwin won at No. 1 doubles against Greensboro.
Huntingdon plays at Ferrum on Saturday at 9 a.m.
