Maryville Takes Down The Hawks

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- Huntingdon men's tennis(1-9 overall, 0-2 CCS) was taken down by Maryville College(2-12 overall, 2-1 CCS) 6-3 at home. See below for the full singles and doubles results.

Doubles

• Lane Young and Owen Wheelock were defeated by James Smith and Jackson Meyer 8-4
• Cameron Reed and Lawson Pearson defeated Jonathan Crane and Kaleb Burke 8-4
• Prosser Crow and Sydney Frazier were defeated by Seth Green and Ben Wyrick 8-5

Singles

• Lane Young was defeated by James Smith 6-1 and 6-2
• Owen Wheelock was defeated by Jonathan Crane in three sets, winning the first 6-0 but losing the next two 6-4 and 6-2
• Sydney Frazier was defeated by Jackson Meyer in three sets, winning the first 6-3, losing the second 7-6(7-2 tiebreaker), and the third 6-2
• Cameron Reed defeated  Gabriel Villalanga Serra 6-0 and 6-4
• Lawson Pearson defeated Seth Green 6-3 and 6-1
• Prosser Crow was defeated by Kaleb Burke in three sets, dropping the first 6-3, winning the second 6-4, and falling in the third 10-3

The Hawks return to the court tomorrow, April 7th, at 1:00 to take on Piedmont at home.
