Hawks Defeat Berea On Senior Day

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In their final match of the regular season, Huntingdon men's tennis(3-11 overall, 2-3 CCS) defeated the Mountaineers of Berea College(0-10 overall, 0-5 CCS) 8-1.

Prior to the matches beginning, the team honored their lone senior, Cameron Reed, for his four years of dedication to the program both on and off the court.

Singles

  • Lane Young fell to Bogdan Petric in three sets, winning the first 6-4, dropping the second 6-4, and dropping the third 10-8 with a 10-8 loss in the tiebreaker
  • Owen Wheelock defeated John Whitaker 6-1 in each set
  • Sydney Frazier defeated Nathan Jiang 6-4 in each set
  • Cameron Reed defeated Jordan Peterson 6-0 in each set
  • Lawson Pearson defeated Elijah Simpson 6-0 in each set
  • Prosser Crow defeated Rinat Nailev 6-0 and 6-1

 

The Hawks enter the CCS Championship tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee beginning on April 25th.
