Hawks Dominate Against Mt. Saint Josephs and William Peace

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Another impressive performance for Hawks Softball (6-0) as they defeated the Mount St. Joseph Lions (3-3) with a score of 5-0, following up with a 13-9 victory over the Pacers of William Peace University. The Hawks kept their foot on the throttle throughout the entirety of the two contests, with steady offensive production guiding the Hawks throughout the day.

 

Game One Against Mount. St Joseph

 

Highlights 

  • In the bottom of the first, The Hawks' Jordan Holman, SS, homered, sending herself and Kylie Stephens around the bases. The Hawks take the lead, 2-0 

  • In the bottom of the second inning, Riley Rudick  homered, allowing herself and Kate Dinkle to round the bases. 4-0. 

  • Kylie Stephens singled to Center Field, sending Kamryn Miller home. 5-0

  • The Hawks did not allow a single run all game

 

On the Mound

  • The Hawks' #33 Allie Roberts threw 107 pitches to 25 batters with 70 of them being strikes. Roberts only allowed 3 hits on the day.

 

Game Two against William Peace

  • #13 Piper Messick got the start for the Hawks throwing 16 pitches to 3 batters, 4 of which were strikes. Messick allowed 3 runs.

  • 2 Aubree Flanagan relieved Messick. Flanagan faced 37 batters throwing 70 strikes out of 121 pitches. Flanagan allowed 6 runs.

 

The Hawks look to continue their strong play on February 25th as they battle William Peace at 1:00 PM CT and Mt. Saint Josephs at 3:00 PM CT.
