Allen’s third-place finish leads Huntingdon track and field in Morehouse Relays
ATLANTA – Kim Allen turned in a top-three finish in the discus and the Hawks finished in the top-10 in four of seven events at the Morehouse Relays this weekend.
This was the third outdoor meet, and seventh meet overall, for the first-year women's track and field program. Team results were not compiled.
Allen's throw of 39.42 meters was third in the field of 34 competitors. Allen was also 18th in a field of 30 in the shot put.
Huntingdon's Sara Beasley was eighth out of 38 in the javelin with a throw of 29.12 meters. Patricia Pickens time of 12.61 seconds in the 100 meters was 10th in the field of 30 runners.
The Hawks' final top-10 finish was the 4x100 meter relay team. The relay team, which finished seventh in a field of 13, turned in a time of 49.46 seconds.
