DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team lost to Piedmont College 73-63 on Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Hawks (5-6, 0-4 USA South) took a 16-16 tie into the second quarter, but were unable to find the lead for the rest of the game after Piedmont the tie early in the second quarter.
The Lions (10-4, 5-0 USA South) entered the game in first place in the USA South Athletic Conference and were able to score 25 points off of Huntingdon's 24 turnovers.
Juliette Harp recorded her eighth double-double of the season with a game-high 15 points and 11 rebounds. Harp has four straight games with a double-double.
Huntingdon scored 32 bench points with Deven Still scoring a career-high 14 points while recording six rebounds. Gabby George scored 11 points and Jenna Dorman added nine points and pulled down nine rebounds.
Huntingdon travels to conference rival LaGrange College on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
