Huntingdon women open season with loss at Maryville

MARYVILLE, Tenn.  – The Huntingdon women's basketball team opened the season with a 90-71 loss at Maryville on Friday.

The Hawks led early but fell behind in the second quarter. Trailing 43-37 at halftime, Huntingdon played from behind in the second half but only trailed 56-50 with 1:25 left in the third quarter.

Maryville pulled away with a 16-4 run to close the third quarter and open the fourth quarter.

A.B. Davis led Huntingdon with 24 points and a team-high five rebounds. Destiny Cross added 12 points and Ja'Mya Broglen had 11 points.
