Huntingdon women lose at Piedmont

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, FANS ARE NOT PERMITTED AT HUNTINGDON BASKETBALL GAMES

 

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team closed out its two-game conference series at Piedmont with a 73-62 loss on Saturday.

The Hawks played from behind but were able to keep pace with Piedmont until midway through the second quarter. Leading 13-10 with a little more than seven minutes left in the first half, Piedmont used an 11-0 run to pull ahead and take a 14-point lead. The Lions continued to extend their lead in the second half.

A.B. Davis led Huntingdon with 20 points and seven rebounds and Shaniah Lowery had 16 points.

                                                      

Records: Huntingdon (2-4, 2-4 USA South); Piedmont (6-3, 4-0 USA South)
