After a back and forth first quarter resulting in Piedmont taking a 17-15 lead, the Hawks fell behind 44-37 at halftime. The Hawks added 11 points in the third quarter to stay close but could not make the comeback in the fourth quarter.
Brooklyn Oden led the team with 12 points while Kinstin Davis had 11 points. Both Ry Whetstone and AB Davis had 5 rebounds. Kassidy Crawford and Alina Shoemake each had 3 steals.
Huntingdon was outrebounded 37-32 but totalled 18 bench points and 18 points off of 22 Piedmont turnovers.
The Hawks travel to Agnes Scott on Tuesday, February 1st. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM CST.
