Women’s golf closes out Division III National Preview

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The 20th-ranked Huntingdon women's golf team shot 329 in the final round of the Division III National Preview on Sunday.

The Lady Hawks finished 12th with a three-round 1,027. Ninth-ranked Washington University-St. Louis won the tournament with a 62-over-par 926 and 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon placed second with a 937.

The 13-team tournament featured nine nationally ranked teams.  

Washington University-St. Louis' Samantha Haubenstock earned medalist honors with a 5-over 221.

Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw led Huntingdon with a 4-over 76 in the final round and tied for 19th with three-round 242. Senior Madi DeWees shot 80 in the final round and tied for 48th with a 54-hole total of 258.

Junior Anna Beth Harris shot 262, freshman Emma Cox shot 273 and sophomore Abigail Cody shot 277.

                         

Coming Up: Huntingdon will host the Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Sept. 28-29.
