Huntingdon closes out Savannah Invitational
SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 334 in the final round of the Savannah Invitational on Tuesday and finished ninth with a two-round 669.
Top-ranked Carnegie Mellon won the tournament with a 45-over-par 621 and second-ranked Methodist was second at 622. Both Carnegie Mellon and Methodist shot 308 in the final round.
The 14-team tournament featured six nationally ranked teams.
Sophomore Abigail Cody shot an 80 in the final round and tied for 12th with a two-round 158. Sophomore Debra Ann Burdeshaw shot 79 in the final round and tied for 23rd with a two-round 161.
Freshman Emma Cox shot 85 in the final round and finished with a 172. Senior Madi DeWees finished with a 181 and freshman Jasmine Paynter finished with a 189.
Carnegie Mellon's Nadia Susanto earned medalist honors with a 5-over 149.
Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action in the Jekyll Island Invitational on March 20-22.
