Huntingdon in 7th entering final round of MCC Intercollegiate

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 326 in the opening round of the Montgomery Country Club Intercollegiate on Sunday.

Entering Monday's final round, the Hawks are seventh. Methodist leads the 10-team tournament with a 6-over-par 294 and Centre College is second with a 9-over 297.

Playing as an individual, Lindsey Oxley turned in the Hawks' best round with a 4-over 76 and is tied for 10th. Debra Ann Burdeshaw is two strokes behind Oxley and tied for 17th with a 6-over 78 and Abigail Cody is tied for 20th with a 7-over 79.

Anna Beth Harris shot 83 in the first round, Jasmine Paynter shot 86 and Emma Cox shot 88. Playing as an individual Emma Hallman shot 89.

Methodist's Ingrid Steingrimsen leads the tournament with a 2-under 70.  

                

Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the final round of the Montgomery Country Club Intercollegiate on Monday.
