Huntingdon remains in 2nd entering final round of USA South Tournament
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's golf team shot 328 in the second round of the USA South Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday.
Entering Wednesday's final round, Huntingdon is second with a 70-over-par 646. Second-ranked Methodist leads the six-team tournament with a 12-over 588. Southern Virginia is third with an 87-over 663.
Three Hawks are in the top-10 after two rounds and all five Huntingdon golfers are in the top-15. Debra Ann Burdeshaw shot 82 in the second round and is sixth with a two-round 155. Abigail Cody shot 82 in Round 2 and is eighth with a two-round 159.
Jasmine Paynter turned in Huntingdon's best round on Tuesday with a 7-over 79 and is 10th with a two-round 163. Anna Beth Harris shot 85 in the second round and is 12th with a two-round 169 and Lindsey Oxley shot 87 on Tuesday and is tied for 15th with a two-round 175.
Methodist's Jillian Drinkard turned in a 2-under 70 in the second round and leads the field with a 2-under 142.
Coming Up: Huntingdon will play in the final round of the USA South Conference Tournament on Wednesday.
