Huntingdon can’t find an answer for Oglethorpe

MONTGOMERY, Ala.  – The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team fell to Oglethorpe 11-3 on Saturday for the Hawks' first loss of the season.

Huntingdon trailed 3-1 at halftime before the Stormy Petrels pulled away.

Vanessa Maldonado had a goal and an assist for Huntingdon and Savannah Ryan and Shelby Blair each scored one goal. Ryan also had three ground balls and Blair had three draw controls.

Alex Teague had two caused turnovers and three ground balls, Keirstin Cramer had two caused turnovers and Jordan Alvis had three draw controls.

Starting goalie Morgan Coppini allowed two goals early before leaving the game with an injury. Morgan Pelfrey played the final 45:46 at goal, recording six saves and nine goals allowed.
