Hawks fall to Oglethorpe in season opener

ATLANTA -- The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team opened the season with a 13-4 loss to Oglethorpe on Tuesday.

Behind two goals from Shelby Blair and one goal each from Olivia Stinson and Savannah Ryan, Huntingdon only trailed 5-4 at halftime. But Oglethorpe pulled away in the second half.

Blair finished with two goals and three draw controls, Stinson had one goal and one assist and Ryan had one goal and three ground balls. Jordan Alvis recorded eight draw controls, four ground balls and two caused turnovers and Anita Rhodes had three ground balls.

Goalie Elizabeth Todd finished with 15 saves and 13 goals allowed in 60 minutes.
