Huntingdon loses to Pfeiffer

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Huntingdon women's lacrosse team lost to Pfeiffer 15-11 on Thursday.

Huntingdon only trailed 5-2 with 10 minutes left in the first half, but Pfeiffer outscored Huntingdon 6-3 in the final 9:45 to close the half and pull ahead. The Falcons maintained the lead in the second half.

Shelby Martin led Huntingdon with three goals, one assist and six draw controls. Savannah Ryan had two goals, four ground balls and four draw controls and Vanessa Maldonado had two goals.

Jordan Alvis finished with one goal, one assist and three caused turnovers. Keirstin Cramer, Olivia Stinson and Peyton Beachler each scored one goal. Stinson and Shelby Barrett each had four ground balls.

Goalie Morgan Coppini recorded 11 saves, 14 goals allowed and nine ground balls in 59:11.
