Hawks Dominate Brevard

Brevard, NC.-Huntingdon Women's Lacrosse defeated Brevard, 20-4.

Brevard took a 1-0 lead at 8:47 of the first quarter. Reagan Bullock tied the game at 1 at 7:58. At 5:56, Brevard took a 2-1 lead but the Hawks answered back at 5:03 with a goal by Bullock, assisted by Jordan Alvis. Celina Owens-Campbell gave the Hawks a 3-2 lead at 3:47 and scored again at 2:32 to make it 4-2. Bullock closed out the first quarter with a goal to make it 5-2.

Bullock scored her fourth goal of the game at 13:30 of the second quarter to make it 6-2 with an assist from Michaela Haas. Bullocked made it 7-2 at 10:04. Dylanie Chappel scored at 6:40 followed by back-to-back goals by Michael Haas to make it 10-2. Owens-Campbells' third goal of the game at 3:01 of the second quarter made it 12-2. Haas made it 12-2 going into halftime with a goal at 2:46.

In the third quarter, Owens-Campbell made it 13-2 at 11:42. Brevard added a goal at 8:06 but the Hawks added 2 more goals in the third quarter by Zoe Dezaldivar and Shelby Blair at 6:58 and 4:08, respectively.

Reagan Bullock gave the Hawks a 16-3 lead to start the fourth quarter. Owens-Campbell collected her 5th goal of the game at 12:08 with an assist from Jordan Alvis, making it 17-3. Jordan Alvis made it 18-3 at 7:22 followed by Bullock's 7th goal of the game at 4:46 with an assist by Dylanie Chappel. Chappel made it 20-3 at 2:23. Brevard added a goal with 42 seconds left but the Hawks were not giving up the lead. 

Reagan Bullock totaled 7 goals on 10 shots with 3 ground balls. Celina Owens-Campbell had 5 goals on 11 shots with 6 ground balls. Michaela Haas had 3 goals on 6 shots with 3 ground balls and 2 assists while Dylanie Chappel had 2 goals on 8 shots with an assist and 5 ground balls. 

Elizabeth Todd made 5 saves on 9 shots. The Hawks totaled 48 shots, including 31 in the first half. Huntingdon collected 39 ground balls.

The Hawks are back in action at home against Point on Wednesday, March 30th. Game time is set for 6:00 PM CST.
