Hawks Fall to Piedmont

DEMOREST, Ga. – Huntingdon (1-7 overall, 0-4 USA South) fell on the road to Piedmont University (7-5 overall, 3-1 USA South), 21-3.

Mia Haulbrook started her second game as goalie this year for the Hawks where she made two saves on fifteen shots throughout her thirty minutes of game time.

The Hawks found themselves down early in the first quarter with a Lions 6-0 run before Celina Owens-Campbell tagged a goal for Huntingdon who was up a man. Heading into the second quarter the Lions were up 8-1. Before halftime, Piedmont scored five more goals and the Hawks Mary Meaghan St. John and Dylanie Chappel scored goals just a minute apart from one another in the final five minutes of the second quarter.

After the first half, Elizabeth Todd went to the net for the Hawks and the Lions found the goal four times each quarter to close out the game on an 8-0 run.
