Hawks Comeback Attempt Comes Up Short At Pfeiffer
MISENHEIMER,NC.- Huntingdon women's lacrosse(2-5 overall, 2-1 USA South) fell to the Pfeiffer Falcons (4-6 overall, 2-2 USA South) 18-8 in a road contest. The Falcons outscored Huntingdon 6-0 in the second quarter, and despite a valiant offensive effort in the second half, the Hawks were not able to comeback.
First Quarter

The Falcons jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead by the 12:54 mark

Peyton Beachler put the Hawks on the board with a goal at the 11:22 mark to cut the lead to 2-1

Amara Veng scored at the 10:48 mark to even the score 2-2

Following a 4-0 run from Pfeiffer, Reagan Barrett put in a shot to bring the score to 6-3 entering the second quarter
Second Quarter

The Falcons dominated the second quarter, scoring six goals while keeping Huntingdon off the board to hold a 12-3 lead at halftime.
Third Quarter

The Hawks came out of halftime battling, with Kate Hudson putting in a shot at the 10:28 mark to bring the score to 12-4

Pfeiffer responded with four unanswered goals to enter the fourth quarter with a 16-4 advantage
Fourth Quarter

The Hawks rallied to start the fourth quarter, with Kate Hudson and Reagan Barrett combining to score 4 goals to cut the lead to 16-8 with 7:13 remaining

The Falcons responded with back-to-back goals to end the Hawks comeback effort and walk away with an 18-8 victory
