Fontenot and Haury lead Hawks in Gator Boots Dual

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  –Kaleb Fontenot won three matches and Jack Haury won two matches to lead the Huntingdon wrestling team in the Gator Boots Dual on Saturday.

Fontenot (157 pounds) earned wins by major decision against Millikin and Pennsylvania College of Technology before winning by pin against Luther College. Haury (197) won by decision against Millikin and Pennsylvania College of Technology.

As a team, Huntingdon lost to 17th-ranked Millikin 37-7, fell to Pennsylvania College of Technology 24-16 and closed the day with a 45-5 loss to Luther.  

Fontenot and Haury picked up both of the Hawks' individual wins against Millikin and Fontenot earned Huntingdon's individual win against Luther.

Against Pennsylvania College of Technology, five Hawks won their weight classes. In addition to Fontenot and Haury, Michael Mort (141), Jayson Spencer (165) and Joseph Pearson (285) earned wins by decision in the match.

 

Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action on Jan. 19 in Tallahassee, Fla., against the Florida A&M University club team.
