Hawks Dominate Wesleyan

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Soccer defeated Wesleyan, 8-1. The Hawks are now 4-5-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference. 

Madison Tryon gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead at 18:27 and Allison Fisher extended the lead to 2-0 with an assist from Tryon at 22:52. Taylor Doss made it 3-0 at 24:12 with an assist by Fisher. Wesleyan's only goal of the game was at 24:12, making it 3-1. Doss' second goal of the game made it 4-1 just before halftime.

Tryon's second goal of the game at 53:44 made it 5-1 with an assist by Jadyn Helm. Katelynn Andrews scored an unassisted goal and extended the lead to 6-1 at 55:38. Katlyn Harrison scored at 65:30 to make it 7-1. Erin Cembrale ended the Hawks' offense with an unassisted goal at 84:47 to make it 8-1. 

Goalkeeper Caroline Masker allowed one goal on one shot. Madison Tryon had 2 goals on 4 shots and one assist. Katelynn Andrews had 1 goal on 5 shots. Taylor Doss had 2 goals on 6 shots. Erin Cembrale had 1 goal on 6 shots. With their goasl tonight, Cembrale, Fisher, and Tryon now hold the record for the most goals in program history in the NCAA era with 14 goals. Allison Fisher had 1 goal on 1 shots with 1 assist. Katlyn Harrison had 1 goal on 2 shots and Elizabeth Getz added 8 shots.

The Hawks outshot Wesleyan 46-1 and held the advantage on corner kicks, 7-0.

The Hawks travel to Covenant on Saturday, October 15th. Game time is set for 1:00 PM CST.
