Tryon Headlines CCS Win Over Berea

BEREA, Ky. – Madison Tryon leads the Hawks in CCS victory over Berea 3-1. She has broken the school NCAA-era record for most goals in a career with 18 after today's contest.

Two goals in the first ten minutes, one by both teams created a Collegiate Conference of the South battle.

The Hawks first goal by Madison Tryon lifted her past the former NCAA era record for career goals with 17. Her goal tied the game at one. The Mountaineers kept fighting to gain the lead in the first half with 14 shots, but Libby Williams did not allow another one to fly past! Tryon continued to do work offensively, assisted by Anaely Almeida in the 31st minute, she gained her 18th career goal and put the Hawks up by one heading to halftime.

In the second half, the Hawks shot nine times to the Mountaineers seven and found the goal once in the 83rd minute as Almeida passed to freshman Angelina Mazza for the Hawks third goal and to secure the conference win over Berea.
