Huntingdon women’s tennis earns first conference win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team opened USA South Athletic Conference play with a 9-0 win over William Peace on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks (2-1, 1-0 USA South) won three singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Daniela Lozano (No. 2), Hannah Still (No. 3) and Elayne White (No. 5) won their singles matches without dropping a game. Britni Thibodeau (No. 1), Arielle Barraca (No. 4) and Tara-Beth Hall (No. 6) each won in straight sets.

In doubles, the teams of Thibodeau-Hall (No. 1) and Still-Barraca (No. 3) both won 8-0 and the team of Lozano-White (No. 2) won 8-3.

Huntingdon hosts Meredith in a conference match on Sunday at noon.
