Lady Hawks win home opener
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team won its home opener with a 9-0 victory over Wesleyan College on Wednesday.
Huntingdon (3-1) opened the day with three straight doubles win and won all six singles matches in straight sets.
Zoya Robinson (No. 1), Sandy Mayson (No. 2), Caroline McBroom (No. 3), Octavia Pendleton (No. 4), Emily Waters (No. 5) and Maya Jones (No. 6) won in singles. Mayson won 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, the teams of Heather Tabor-Robinson (No. 1) and McBroom-Josie Waddell (No. 2) each won 8-1 and the team of Pendleton-Kaitlin Burns (No. 3) won 8-2.
Huntingdon returns to action at Ferrum on Saturday.
