Pendleton, Waddell and Waters earn ITA academic honors

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Three Huntingdon women's tennis players were recently recognized by the ITA with the release of the Scholar Athletes awards.
Senior Octavia Pendleton, sophomore Emily Waters and freshman Josie Waddell were each named ITA Scholar Athletes. This marks the second straight year that Pendleton and Waters have been recognized for their work in the classroom. Since 2004, a total of 27 Lady Hawks have been recognized.
To qualify as an ITA Scholar Athlete, a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a 3.50 GPA or higher and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
A total of 11 USA South players were recognized as ITA Scholar Athletes.
