Huntingdon earns 10th win of the season

DECATUR, Ga.  – The Huntingdon women's tennis team beat Agnes Scott 9-0 in a conference match on Wednesday.

The win was the eighth straight this season for Huntingdon. Not counting last year's shortened season, this is the 16th straight season the Hawks have won at least 10 matches.

On Wednesday, Huntingdon won one singles match and one doubles match by default. In the remaining seven matches, Huntingdon only lost five games.

In singles, Madeline Creel (No. 1), Allison Stegall (No. 2), Alex Burnham (No. 3), Meredith Head (No. 4), Alonda Weaver (No. 5) and Katelyn Morris (No. 6) each earned wins. Burnham, Head and Weaver each won 6-0, 6-0.

In doubles, the teams of Kennedy Harp-Marisa LaJone (No. 1), Ashley Burke-Emily Fendley (No. 2) and Morris-Head (No. 3) earned victories.
