Women's Tennis Competes in Day 2 of John McWilliams Invitational

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Women's Tennis competed in day 2 of the John McWilliams Invitational in singles and doubles competitions against LaGrange, Piedmont, and Belhaven.

Huntingdon vs LaGrange:

Meredith Head won 7-6, 6-3.

Marisa LaJone won 6-2, 6-1.

Alonda Weaver won 6-0, 6-1.

Katelyn Morris won 6-0, 6-1.

Madison Parker won 6-0, 6-0.

Huntingdon vs Piedmont:

Meredith Head was defeated 6-1, 6-1. 

Marisa LaJone was defeated 5-7, 6-2, and 6-4.

Alonda Weaver was defeated 6-4, 6-3.

Katelyn Morris was defeated 6-2, 6-1.

Madison Parker was defeated 7-6, 6-2.

Huntingdon vs Belhaven:

Meredith Head and Alonda Weaver were defeated 8-1.

Marisa LaJone and Katelyn Morris were defeated 8-2.

The Hawks will travel to Mississippi University for Women on Saturday, September 24th, to take on MUW and Itawamba Community College. Matches are scheduled for 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM CST.
