Hawks Fall To Maryville At Home

MONTGOMERY,Ala.- In their second CCS contest of the season, Huntingdon women's tennis (2-3 overall, 1-1 CCS) was taken down by the Scots of Maryville College(10-5 overall, 4-0 CCS) 8-1. See below for the full singles and doubles results.

Doubles

• Taji Williams and Ella Hatchcock were defeated by Eliza Shwaika and Katelyn Cook 8-5
• Natalie Tedesco and Katelyn Morris were defeated by Alyssa Smith and Abby Diggs 8-2
• The Hawks were forced to forfeit the third doubles match, giving Maryville the win

Singles

• Taji Williams defeated Ella Shwaika 6-1 and 6-3
• Natalie Tedesco was defeated by Katelyn Cook 6-2 and 6-4
• Ella Hathcock was defeated by Mia Brown 6-0 and 6-3
• Katelyn Morris was defeated by Abby Diggs 6-0 and 6-2
• Angelina Mazza was defeated by Mandy Webb 6-4 and 6-1
• The Hawks forfeited the sixth singles match

The Hawks return to action tomorrow, April 7th, taking on Piedmont University at home. Matches are set to begin at 1:00 PM CT.
