HUNTINGDON VOLLEYBALL LOSES FIRST TWO MATCHES IN HENDRIX FALL CLASSIC

CONWAY, Ark. – Lauren Rozof and Melony Motley combined for 21 kills but the Huntingdon volleyball team dropped its first two matches in the Hendrix Fall Classic on Friday.

Huntingdon fell to Ouachita Baptist University and Hendrix College in three games. OBU won 25-22, 25-11 and 25-16 and Hendrix won 25-19, 25-15, 25-14.

Rozof had six kills, nine digs and an ace against OUB and four kills against Hendrix. Motley finished with five kills against OUB and six kills and two block assists against Hendrix.   

Abby Brown recorded six kills and an ace against OUB and two block assists against Hendrix. Alyssa Eason led the Hawks with a combined 39 assists and added three aces in the two matches. Storm McWhorter totaled 20 digs in the two matches. Diane Humphreys finished with four kills against Hendrix and Abby Carter had one solo block and three block assists.

Huntingdon (2-9) returns to action in the tournament on Saturday. Huntingdon plays Rust College at 11 a.m. and Williams Baptist College at 1 p.m.
