Huntingdon volleyball comes up short in home conference matches

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon volleyball team continued to show improvement but couldn't get past Meredith College and Methodist University on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks fell to Meredith 25-22, 25-17, 25-23 and lost to Methodist 25-17, 25-21, 27-25.

Against Meredith (15-6, 7-1 USA South), Rachel Dunlay had six kills, nine assists and seven aces for Huntingdon (4-17, 0-8). Kalen Morgan had a team-high seven kills and Kali Martin had six kills, 13 digs and two block assists. Lexi Rangel had 12 assists, Lauren Condon recorded 16 digs and Bobie Wilson finished with 13 digs.

In the match with Methodist (11-11, 6-4) Rangel totaled seven kills, 13 assists and four aces. Morgan had seven kills and Dunlay added 10 assists and three block assists. Ally Brislinger had two solo blocks and two block assists, Condon finished with 22 digs and Martin added 10 digs.

Huntingdon travels to Ferrum on Oct. 19 for a pair of conference matches with the Panthers and Averett.
