Three Hawks earn USA South All-Conference recognition

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Three Huntingdon volleyball players were recognized as first-team or second-team All-West Division with the release of the USA South All-Conference awards on Thursday.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the shortening of the season, the USA South is limiting All-Conference honors to first-team and second-team All-Division recognition this season. As a result, there are no Players of the Year or Coach of the Year awards this season.

Senior Amy Tyma, the 2019 USA South Player of the Year, was named first-team West Division and sophomore Morgan Ilsley and junior Jordan Hollis were named second-team West Division.

After having just three West Division selections during the first five seasons in the conference, Huntingdon has produced 11 West Division players in the past three seasons.

Tyma is the first Huntingdon volleyball player to earn All-Conference recognition in each of her four seasons. Since the NCAA went to its current scoring format in 2008, she is the first Hawk to record more than 1,450 kills (1,454) and more than 1,500 digs (1,539). This season, she led the USA South with 240 kills and was sixth with 202 digs. She also had 27 blocks.

Ilsley is fifth in the conference with 437 assists and 12th with 21 aces. She also has 124 digs this season. In two seasons with the Hawks, she has 916 assists, 409 digs and 86 aces. Hollis is sixth in the conference with 40 blocks this season and eighth with 143 kills.

Addie Jacobs was named to the USA South's All-Sportsmanship team.
