Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Volleyball defeated Bob Jones University, 3-1.
The Hawks took set 1, 25-19, but Bob Jones answered back to take the second set, 25-11. Sets 3 and 4 were close battles with the Hawks ultimately winning 25-23 and 27-25.
Morgan Ilsley led the team with 19 points and 17 kills while collecting 22 assists. Jessi Hilyer had a team-leading 23 assists. Reece Rhodes had 11 points and 8 kills on 32 total attempts. Kamea Nash totaled 11 points and 10 kills.
The Hawks travel to Memphis, Tennessee, for the 2022 Rhodes College Classic tomorrow, September 9th and Saturday, September 10th. The Hawks will take on Wilmington and LeTourneau tomorrow at 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM CST.
