Hawks Sweep Day 1 of Brevard Tournament

Brevard, NC.-Huntingdon Volleyball defeated Bob Jones University 3-1 and Brevard 3-0 on Day 1 of the Brevard Tournament. The Hawks are now 7-4 overall. 

Vs. Bob Jones:

The Hawks took sets one and two 25-20 and 25-12 but lost set three 25-23. The Hawks won set four 25-13 to win the match. 

Kamea Nash led the team with 23 points and 15 kills. Reece Rhodes had 9 points and 15 digs. Kennedy Chambers collected 13 points and 11 kills. Morgan Ilsley had 10.5 points, 10 kills, 10 digs, and 23 assists. Jessi Hilyer had 18 assists and 7 digs. 

Vs. Brevard

The Hawks won three straight sets, 25-14, 25-12, and 25-17.

Kamea Nash had 16 points and 12 kills with 6 digs. Samantha Singleton had 18 digs. Morgan Ilsley totaled 8 points, 6 kills, and 22 assists with 12 digs. Reece Rhodes and Ashlen Janowski each had 9 points with Rhodes adding 11 digs. 

The Hawks compete on day 2 of the Brevard Tournament tomorrow, September 17th, against Salem and Methodist. Matches are scheduled for 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM CST.
