Brevard, NC.-Huntingdon Volleyball defeated Salem 3-1 and Methodist 3-0 on Day 2 of the Brevard Tournament.
Vs. Salem:
The Hawks took sets one and two, 25-20 and 25-22 but lost set three, 26-14, before securing the win with a 25-16 set four victory.
Morgan Ilsley had 12 points with 10 kills and 27 assists. Kamea Nash had 15 points with 9 digs and 11 kills. Izzy Valldeperas totaled 9.5 points with 7 kills. Reece Rhodes collected 12.5 points with 14 digs and 9 kills. Samantha Singleton led the team with 24 digs while Jessi Hilyer added 14 assists.
Vs. Methodist:
The Hawks won three straight sets, 26-24, 25-17, and 25-13.
Kamea Nash had 13.5 points with 10 kills and 12 digs on 29 total attempts. Reece Rhodes had 11 points with 9 kills and 8 digs. Ashlen Janowski totaled 10 points with 9 kills. Jessi Hilyer had 5 points and 20 assists with 5 digs and 5 service aces. Morgan Ilsley had 7.5 points with 6 kills, 11 digs, and 18 assists.
The Hawks are back in action at home on Tuesday, September 20th, when they take on Mississippi University for Women. The match is scheduled for 5:00 PM CST.
