MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Hawks Volleyball earned their second conference win in their home opener against Belhaven University, 3-0.

In the first set the Hawks began with three straight points, but the Blazers soon came back and took the lead at 5-4. Izzy Valldeperas reclaimed the lead for Huntingdon with a kill off an assist from Molly Wilson at the 9th point. The Hawks held the lead for the remainder of the first set and created separation with a 6-0 run that began with a Blazers error and ended with another kill from Valldeperas (20-13). A quick 9-5 lead for the Hawks boosted them into a 4-0 run that was followed by a 6-0 run that included three aces, one from Valldeperas and the other two by Jessi Hilyer. Up 21-10 in the second, a few points were exchanged but ultimately the Hawks final two kills from Kennedy Chambers and Lindsey Holland ended the second set at 25-12.
