Hawks Drop Game at Rhodes

Memphis, Tennessee – The Hawks dropped their game on the road to the Lynx 66-50.

The Hawks began the game solid with an early 6-0 run in the first 3 minutes of the game. Rhodes began to fight back and tied the game at 10 with 1:52 remaining in the first quarter and take their first lead of the game with a made free-throw with a minute remaining. (11-10) To start the second quarter the Hawks went down by 5 with a score of 15-10 but Huntingdon continued to push the ball and make it to the foul line and again took the lead at 17-15 with 6:53 remaining in the half. Rhodes answered with an 8-0 run as the Hawks went scoreless for 4:30. The score going into halftime was 26-19, Rhodes.

In the second half, Rhodes continued to own the paint while shooting 50% from the field in the 3^rd and 44% in the 4^th compared to Huntingdon's 35% and 28%, respectively. The Hawks would bring the game within seven at 35-47 with 16 seconds remaining in the third quarter, however Rhodes scored 52 points in the paint excelled them past the Hawks.

The Hawks travel to Oglethorpe to compete in their Christmas tournament on December 16^th and 17^th as they take on Oglethorpe Friday at 4:00 pm CST and Birmingham Southern, Saturday at 12:00 pm CST.
