Women’s tennis ranked 3rd, men ranked 4th in USA South polls
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Huntingdon women's tennis team is ranked third in the West Division and the men's tennis team is ranked fourth with the release of the USA South pre-conference polls.
The Huntingdon women totaled 38 points in the West Division poll. Piedmont, the 2019 West Division champion, is the preseason favorite in the West with seven first-place votes and 48 points. Covenant is second with one first-place vote and 39 points. Behind Huntingdon, Brevard is fourth with 31 points.
Two-time defending USA South Tournament champion North Carolina Wesleyan is the preseason favorite in the East poll with six first-place votes and 36 points. Methodist is second with one first-place votes and 31 points.
On the men's side, the fourth-place Hawks earned 20 points in the West Division poll. Piedmont, the 2019 West Division champion, is the preseason No. 1 with four first-place votes and 34 points. Covenant is second with three first-place votes and 33 points and LaGrange is third with 26 points.
Eleven-time defending conference champion North Carolina Wesleyan leads the East Division poll with five first-place votes and 25 points. Methodist is second with one first-place vote and 20 points.
