Hawks Taken Down By Maryville
Looking to avenge their loss to Asbury from yesterday, Huntingdon women's basketball returned to action against Maryville this afternoon. After a back-and-forth three quarters featuring 8 ties and 10 lead changes, the Scots outscored the Hawks 15-7 in the final period to claim the 56-48 victory.
Hawks Fall To Asbury At Home
Looking to follow up on their road victory at Covenant earlier this week, Huntingdon women's basketball returned to Roland Arena to face off with Asbury University. In the first dual between the two squads since Asbury joined the Collegiate Conference of the South, the Eagles would utilize a late third quarter run to walk away with a 77-66 victory on the road.
Women's Basketball Bounces Back At Covenant
Looking to get back into the win column following their road loss to Piedmont, Huntingdon women's basketball traveled to face the 7-4(3-0 CCS) Scots of Covenant College. In a dynamic matchup that featured 16 ties and 24 lead changes, the Hawks prevailed, walking away with a 78-71 victory. Sophomore Briana Stuckey led the way, recording a 17 points, 14 rebound double-double.
Hawks Can't Overcome Piedmont's Strong Second Half
Coming off a 30 point victory at Agnes Scott, Huntingdon women's basketball continued their Georgia-based road trip with a CCS matchup at Piedmont University. Neither team could gain an advantage through the first two quarters, with a late free throw giving Piedmont a 30-29 advantage at the halftime break. A third quarter surge in favor of the Lions proved to be too much for Huntingdon to overcome, handing the 5-7 Hawks their second CCS loss of the season, 78-66.
Hawks Fall To LaGrange In CCS Opener
Kicking of 2025 CCS play at home, Huntingdon women's basketball hosted LaGrange College at Roland Arena. Following what largely was a back-and-forth affair, the Hawks would fall to the Panthers by a score of 86-74. Makayla Ford led Huntingdon's offensive attack, providing 16 points off the bench, with Kinstin Davis chipping in 15 of her own.
