Women’s Wrestling Releases 2023-24 Schedule
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon Women's Wrestling has released their inaugural 2023-24 schedule.
Head coach Matt Oliver says, "We have every emotion possible a brand-new program could have when it comes to our Women's wrestling schedule but have the confidence that we are going to have a ton of success with our Women's team this season with hopes of our first National Qualifier and All-American. Two exciting dates to look forward to is our first annual Women's Wrestling Intra-Squad Scrimmage on October 14th. It will be a huge recruiting event where we expect 25-30 women's wrestlers plus their families on campus.
After the Hawks Intra-Squad match on the 14th of October, they will hit the road to Atlanta, Georgia on the 11th of November for the Eagle Madness at Life University.
In December the Hawks will host Brewton Parker and Presbyterian on the 9th and travel to Emory for the Wasp Open on the 15th.
January consists of four matches, two of them being in Montgomery on the 6th and 7th.
"The first Annual Red Lady Open will take place inside Wilson Gym on the 7th. We have six teams committed to attending and expecting about 60 women entered in the tournament." says Coach Oliver when referring to the first ever Red Lady Open.
Hawks will be on the road in February at the Emmanual College Dual on the 16th and the NCWWC Regional Tournament on the 23rd.
The NCWWC National Championships will be held on March 7th and 8th in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
