DIII Week Spotlight- Myles Johnson

MONTGOMERY,Ala. Up next in our series of DIII Week spotlights is none other than Myles Johnson of the men's basketball team.

The Florence, Alabama native is a sophomore majoring in Secondary Education. Asides from being a member of the Hawks basketball team, Myles is active on campus within the Black Student Union and is an Orientation Leader.

Since entering Huntingdon, Myles has put a concerted effort into becoming more of a vocal leader both on and off the court, sharing that his biggest personal growth has come in his leadership. "I think I've grown the most in becoming a leader and not be being afraid to vocalize my opinion more", Johnson stated. "I feel like I have started trying to be more active on campus and started to apply these newly found skills into my involvement.

Huntingdon's consistent environment of positivity led Johnson to choose Huntingdon as his home. "The students and faculty all want to see you succeed and that they treat you like family while your here", Johnson shared. "It is a truly welcoming environment".

This past season for the Hawks, Myles brought a contagious energy off the bench and was the perfect example of a great teammate. In Huntingdon's final home game against the LaGrange Panthers, Myles checked into the game and finished a tough reverse layup through contact to give push the Hawks over the 100 point marker for the first time in their season. While Johnson's and the Hawks 2023-2024 season has ended, we look forward to seeing Myles take the court for the 2024-2025 season.
