Bio

Eric Levanda was named Huntingdon’s Director of Athletics in June 2019 and oversees the Hawks’ 22 varsity programs.

Levanda came to Huntingdon in 2006 as the Director of Operations and was named Associate Director of Athletics in 2007.

"Eric Levanda has provided steady, detail-oriented leadership for the Huntingdon athletic department,” Huntingdon College President J. Cameron West said. “He understands and supports Huntingdon's uniqueness as a member of NCAA Division III, and he has been a champion at Huntingdon for upholding the principles of sportsmanship of the USA South Athletic Conference.  I have confidence in his ability to create the best possible experience for Huntingdon's student-athletes."

Levanda is the eighth Director of Athletics in Huntingdon history and followed Mike Turk’s tenure in the position.

"I am extremely excited about the future of Huntingdon College athletics with Eric at the helm,” said Turk, who stepped down from the position after six years but remained as the Hawks’ head football coach and Associate Director of Athletics. “Our athletic department has continued to grow, and the responsibility associated with the job of Director of Athletics has grown along with it. Eric will be able to focus on these responsibilities in a full-time capacity, and I look forward to supporting him in the same manner that he supported me.  He is a selfless worker and these are exciting times for our college."

A graduate of Auburn University, Levanda holds a bachelor’s degree in health promotions.
