Hawks earn first win of the season

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS, ONLY HUNTINGDON STUDENTS ARE PERMITTED AT OUTDOOR ATHLETIC EVENTS

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team earned its first win of the season with a 4-1 win over the University of Mobile on Saturday on the second day of the Huntingdon Tournament.

The Hawks earned wins against the NAIA Rams with their top four teams. The No. 1 team of Amy Tyma and Audrey Horsley won 21-11, 21-9, the No. 2 team of Morgan Ilsley and Lauren Hinton won 21-18, 21-16, the No. 3 team of Cadie Shirley and Jessica Brunk won 21-14, 14-21, 15-12 and the No. 4 team of Josie Hester and Jordan Hollis won 21-14, 24-22.

Records: Huntingdon (1-2); University of Mobile (1-1)

Coming Up: The Huntingdon Tournament continues on Sunday. Huntingdon will play Hendrix at 11 a.m. and the University of Montevallo 3:30 p.m.
