Hawks split on Day 1 of UNA Tournament

FLORENCE, Ala.  – The Huntingdon beach volleyball team split in its first two matches of the UNA Tournament on Friday.

The Hawks beat Division III Hendrix 3-2 and lost to Division I Central Arkansas 5-0.

Against Hendrix, Huntingdon's No. 1 team of Amy Tyma and Audrey Horsley (5-3) won 19-21, 21-15, 15-13, the No. 3 team or Morgan Ilsley and Lauren Hinton won 21-17, 21-17 and the No. 4 team of Josie Hester and Jordan Hollis won 21-10, 21-11. The No. 5 team of Bea Lindquist and Caroline Foote lost in three games at No. 5.  

Coming Up: Huntingdon (1-7) continues play in the UNA Tournament on Saturday.
