Hawks Sweep St. Andrews on Opening Day

Montgomery, Ala.-Huntingdon Beach Volleyball defeated St. Andrews, 5-0, on opening day of the 2021-22 season.

#1: Morgan Ilsley and Audrey Horsley: 21-14, 21-12

#2: Samantha Singleton and Veronica Tikhomirova: 21-15, 21-17

#3: Bea Lindquist and Madison Chastain: 21-19, 21-17

#4 Ashlen Janowski and Lauren Hinton: 22-20, 21-12

#5 Eva Ellenburg and Caroline Foote: 21-19, 21-18

#6 Jessi Hilyer and Izzy Valderperas: 21-13, 21-15 

"We couldn't be more proud of the team effort today! Every pair came out ready to compete and handled first game apprehensions very well," Head Coach Latonia Brady said. "With so many new faces in this program and brand new pairs, winning our first match of the season, 5-0, is a statement for our rookies that they can compete at the collegiate level."

The Hawks are back in action tomorrow, February 19th,  at home against St. Andrews at 9:30 AM CST and Mobile at 2:30 PM CST.
